Maintaining a log book is considered good practice. It is used to demonstrate that fire safety responsibilities in the workplace are being managed effectively. Maintaining a log book also provides fire engineers with a full service history. Record details, times and dates of servicing and inspections in line with BS 5839 Part 1:22.
